Reviving the classic Speedmaster Mark II from 1969, Omega has announced an updated version of the Omega Speedmaster Mark II for 2014 ($6,250). Its styling is largely reminiscent of the classic model, with a brushed steel case (water resistant to 100 meters); your choice of an orange and grey dial or a more subtle black and white dial; extensive use of SuperLumiNova on the tachymeter scales, hands and dial; and a bracelet that’s again largely reminiscent of the ’60′s Speedmaster Mark II. Inside, the 2014 Omega Speedmaster Mark II is powered by the COSCC certified Omega Calibre 3330 automatic movement that includes Omega Co-Axial escapements and silicon balance springs – a movement that notes the same layout as the original Speedmaster Mark II, save for the date located at 6 o-clock. Look for the 2014 Omega Speedmaster Mark II to hit retailers later this year.
